National Museum of the American Indian - Art Market Banner

The National Museum of the American Indian hosted a special two day art event featuring the work of over thirty Native artists -- including paintings, jewelry, pottery and more.

This particular banner was appliqued and we were very pleased with the result. Appliqued banners require the most labor to produce as each individual element of the design must be hand-sewn into place -- a perfect match for an event featuring handmade art! Also, because the individual fabric components are dyed completely (not digitally printed) the process can yield very intense colors. The banner was sewn in such a way that the date of the event can be updated for future events.
